Why are all of those liberals from California leaking out into other states? Washington and Oregon are having a Californian infestation like they haven't seen in years. (I lived in Oregon back in the days that they actually put up billboards that said "Don't Californicate Oregon!" Back then I though it was strange. Now I know the truth.)
Why don't we just change the borders for Oregon and Washington? Let the liberals have everything west of the Cascade Mountain range, and annex it all to California. We can then combine the Eastern sides of Oregon and Washington into one state, with decidedly less liberal leanings.
I don't suppose that my Dad or my son would appreciate this plan. They live on the west side of the Cascades in Washington.

When are the people going to figure out that the "two-party" system that we are entrenched in isn't working? For the last couple of election cycles, the Democrats have been fielding the "seven dwarves". This time, there are way more than seven, and it's not just the Democrats!
Both parties are broken! The government is in a mess. According to some recent polls, there are more and more people starting to get fed up with only two choices. The front runners in the Republican race are all too liberal - especially in social issues. Rudy Guliani and John McCain? Come on. Guliani is a Social Liberal, and McCain was labeled a RINO (Republican in Name Only) years ago.

This Senate debate about Immigration reform is a joke! Phones, snail mail, and e-mails were pouring into the Senate offices the last time around to defeat this bill. Why is the Senate debating this again? This is a bill that the people don't want. For Congress and/or the President to pass this bill without the approval of the American people would be down right Communistic!
This bill includes language to allow illegal immigrants to pay in-state tuition schedules for attending colleges and universities. They are here against the law, why should they get tuition breaks? What about the kids from this country that can't afford to go to college?
This bill does nothing to encourage immigrants to learn English in order to work and live here. They need to learn English. Why should an employer or coworker have to speak Spanish (or any other language) in order to train a new hire, when we live and work in the United States of America, where we speak English.
This bill only authorizes only 360 miles of new fence. What about the 700 miles that has already been signed into law?
We need to remove illegals from using any social services. Allowing illegals to use Medicade/Medicare, Social Security, and Food Stamps is what is depleating the reserves, and causing the system to bankrupt.

So just what country do the Legislatures or Assemblies of the states of California and Massachusetts think that they belong to. California has had a long history of it's Assembly overriding the votes of the people, and approving or denying laws at it's whim and pleasure.
Now Massachusetts is in the game of usurping the power of the people. They aren't even giving the people the right to vote.
Note the first quote from the Declaration of Independence. The government gets it's power from the consent of the governed. The governed are us. The people of this great country. That means that the will (vote) of the people is the law of the land. The appointed law makers are supposed to do what we tell them to, and vote the way that we tell them to. That is why they are called representatives.
Because they (are supposed to) represent us in Washington DC, and they (are supposed to) represent our ideas and beliefs.
Then how is it acceptable that the Legislature of the commonwealth of Massachusetts isn't allowing a vote on the Gay Marriage issue. If I remember correctly, 40 plus states have adopted some variety of a Defense of Marriage act - which defines marriage as between one man and one woman. In these 40 plus states, the people approved the amendments by margins of 60% or better. That means that by the voice of the people, marriage should be defined as one man and one
woman, and that should be the end of the (legal) story.
Ordinarily, I wouldn't be in favor of an amendment to the Constitution regarding the definition of marriage,, but we have had some unusual circumstances in the last several years. Judges have usurped the will of the people, and adopted laws by judicial fiat - ignoring the facts, noted above, that the majority of the people have already voted that gay marriage should be illegal.

I don't know about you, but this whole thing over the Federal attorneys being fired is really starting to tick me off. Even Republicans are crying for Alberto Gonzales' head. If nothing else, this whole episode reeks of the hypocrisy of the Liberals and the media.
When Bill Clinton took over the White House, he fired all 93 Federal attorneys. The roar of the silence was deafening!! Not a word about this travesty of justice, unconstitutional proceeding, or breech of the public trust. There were no screams for the heads of either Bill Clinton nor Janet Reno.
Now we are screaming about ethics violations, and even Republicans are calling for the Attorney General to step down. Bull hockey!! Fair and unbiased press, indeed.

I don't know about you, but I think that Marine General Peter Pace, of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, deserves a big AHOOORAH! He is exactly right. Homosexuality is immoral. No apologies needed.
The left is screaming about how Gen. Pace needs to apologize for the "mean spirited" things that he said. How about all of the mean, nasty, negative, rotten (ad infinitum), things that the Left has said about the military? (Does anybody remember the comment by some nincompoop Lefty, at President Clinton's inauguration? As the f-16s flew overhead, they said, "those are our planes now!) Shouldn't they apologize for undermining our troops in the eyes
of our terrorist enemies? If President Clinton "loathed" the military, what is the Left doing now?
I seem to recall three or four verses in the Bible that refer to homosexuality as a sin, and/or an abomination. God did not create Adam and "Steve", as the old saw says. Nor did he create Eve and Lilly. He also commanded (there are more commandments than 10!) Adam and Eve to "go forth and multiply and subdue the Earth." Two men cannot multiply, neither can two women - at least that's what they told us in my biology class.
I don't know about the ground forces, but homosexuality was a big deal, when I was in the Navy. We were cooped up on a small ship for several months at a stretch, and that's just the surface ships. Submarines were underwater, on patrol for six months at a time. When you are on a ship, you don't need to find out that one of your shipmates "has the hots for you." Actually, I did have a friend that was given a dishonorable discharge, because he was
diagnosed with "homosexual tendencies", but he never gave me one ounce of trouble.
My "everyman" explanation for why homosexuality is wrong, goes something like this:
Just go down to you local grocery store. What do you see on the magazine racks? Maxxim, FHM, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and so on. A guy is going to tell me that he prefers another guy to these bikini babes? I don't think so.

I was looking at the paper today, and the big news was about how there were thousands of protesters to President Bush's visit to Latin American countries.
Their own presidents can't fix the (economic) problems of their own countries, so they come to the United States for a bigger paycheck to send home. Not only that, we are the "bottomless" handout. They use our emergency services, yet don't pay a dime in taxes. They get welfare, and Medic-Aid, and don't pay any taxes. They have babies in our hospitals that are automatically citizens of this country.
Despite all of this, they show up in droves, in their home countries, in order to protest our President, who they expect to receive all of these handouts from. What's wrong with this picture?

The link below goes to a page on the Washington Times that tells a story about our "border war" that you just don't hear about from the regular media. When they talk about immigration problems, all they talk about is the people who may work hard to bring home American money for their families, but they still have entered this country illegally. They tell tales of families torn apart, and just what will these families do with out their parents, their husbands,
their mothers?
Here is the other, uglier, side of why we need a border fence, and tighter border control.
This story tells of drug runners, smugglers, and coyotes (those who bring illegals into this country), who are heavily armed. Not with just rifles and handguns like what you and I get at the local gun shop. They have military weapons, including fully-automatic M-16, some with grenade launchers, and rocket launchers. The story at the link below includes a reference to a semi-trailer that was taken into custody that was loaded with these types of arms. What chance
to local sheriffs, along the border - two responders at most to a call - and they don't have automatic weapons, and there are more smugglers than two. We also have reports of groups of smugglers with military vehicles (Humvees), as well.
Arm the National Guard troops that are down there, enforce the laws, and get that fence built! Our sheriffs departments, marshals, and Border Patrol agents are simply out-manned and outgunned.

There are reports from conservative news sources that Hizzoner Mayor Rudy Guliani says that the gun control measures that he took as Mayor of New York City wouldn't affect hunters. Male bovine fecal matter!!
If a town, a county, a state, or a country, adopts a law, that new law affects all citizens, not just a few. How are you going to allow the hunters to have their hunting rifles (or pistols), but not allow the people who want or already own handguns (or shotguns) for self-protection to not have them. That's not only unfair, but it runs against the Second Amendment, which we all know says "the right to bear arms shall not be infringed." This looks like pretty
big infringement to me.
A hunter who lives in Cheyenne is going to be allowed to own a hunting rifle or two, but he can't have a Smith and Wesson, or a Kimber for his house/apartment? How is that going to work?
Then there are the people that hunt with their Smith and Wessons. Will they be prosecuted because they used their hunting firearm against an intruder who was trying to rob their house, and cause them bodily harm?
Those who would tread the dangerous waters of the middle ground (and those on the Left) want things both ways. You can't have things both ways. We can only have one way or the other.

Boy, do we have a boat-load of contenders for the office of President of the United States . I think that we have more than "the seven dwarves" in the Democratic run-off. Of course I don't think that any of them are worth a pile of donkey --- Never mind!
I don't like any of the "media darlings" for the Republican Party, either. McCain is a stinking RINO. Even though he is helping President Bush, at the moment, but he's too socially liberal. I don't like Hizzoner the Mayor Guliani for the same reasons.
I wish that I could support Mitt Romney, because he is LDS, but I can't. He is undecided on the Border Fence/Immigration issue. The top of my list would be Sen. Tom Tancredo, from Colorado. He's tough on both social issues, and immigration. My other top choice would be Sam Brownback.
The Constitution Party has no shortage of nominee's, either. They don't have as many as the two major parties, but they have five or six, as far as I remember. My top choice would be Alan Keyes. He ran for the Republican nomination, last time around. He's Black (I don't want to be "Politicaly Correct" by saying "African-American"), he's socially conservative, and in favor of the Second Amendment. He would be the best of the lot, I believe.

January 2007
The Democrats, last November, ran part of their campaign
on a "new era of bipartisanship." It seems like we hear this
promise every two years.
We barely got done with the victory celebrations, and the
"open minded" Democrats were already sharpening their
knives. In the end of December, and the early days of
January, the Democrats were having closed door meetings,
with Madame Pelosi leading the war party, brainstorming what
they could do during their first "100 hours". What
"bipartisanship" actually means to them is, "if the
Republicans do what we want, then we'll get along just
fine."

In browsing some web-sites that feature conservative
t-shirts, I am amused that one thing from the '60s has
either prevailed, or has been brought back to life - "Peace
Through Superior Fire Power" - with a B-52 superimposed over
the peace sign.

December 2006
From "Political Correctness Run Amok" Files:
Some Rabbi asked the Seattle-Tacoma Airport to add a
menorah to the displays of Christmas trees around the
airport. In response, Sea-Tac took down the trees. Their
response was the airport employees didn't have the time to
keep adding more and more symbols to holiday displays in
order to keep all the religious groups happy.
I'm not sure what happened next, but Sea-Tac put the
Christmas trees back up. There have been no further protests
by the Rabbi.
However, the City of Seattle has put a menorah on display
out side of the City Hall, and had a big public ceremony to
light the first candle. This was in response to a request
that the same Rabbi made to the City, but last year.
Another group has come along asking that a manger scene
be put on display in front of the City Hall. However, this
is drawing shouts of protest. Why? It is felt that it would
be a too strong an endorsement of a religion.
How's that again? Which religion does a manger scene
belong to, and which one does it endorse? How is a manger
scene endorsing a religion, but the display of a menorah is
not?

It really ticks me off, the way that the media is playing
this large bust of illegal aliens at several Swift meat
packing plants. "Oh, the poor families that are being
separated at Christmas time." "What a devastating blow to
our local economy, because we won't have these people in our
communities to spend their money, especially at Christmas
time." Local police departments refusing to cooperate with
INS. Whose country is this anyway?
They came into this country illegally! Some of them were
working because they had stolen or paid for someone else's
social security number/identity! That's at least two crimes,
right there, and one of them is a felony!
I don't care what "good workers" these people are. They
refuse to assimilate into our society. The refuse to learn
our language (the government at all levels panders to that
problem.) They don't pay into the tax system, yet they use
tax payer money for emergency room visits, ambulance usage,
law enforcement costs, receive benefits from Social
Security, medical, and welfare.
They should have done this a long time ago! The United
States is not the world's "Rich Uncle". Our government is
not here for handouts. If we removed these debts from our
tax structure, we'd be much more capable of paying out for
the people that genuinely need these services.
The governments of their home countries need to improve
their own systems, so that their citizens wouldn't feel
compelled to come here (by any means) in order to make a
decent living.
And what has happened with the Federalistas that help
drug smugglers escape from our law enforcement? What about
the "coyotes" that help these people across the border, then
have them act as couriers for their drugs? Now, they're are
stealing babies in order to settle debts? (Read the
newspapers. It's true.)

"You know, education, if you make the most of it, you
study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to
be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in
Iraq."
Senator John Kerry 10/30/06
"I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted to
wrongly imply anything negative about those in
uniform..."
Senator John Kerry 11/2/06
I put the quotes up above to show that the Honorable
Senator Kerry has not apologized. He was definitely
not misinterpreted. Everyone who has been
criticizing him, has been complaining about exactly what he
said Anyone who is in the public forum should know that
people hear the words that you say. In no way can they know
what the speaker means. None of us is a mind reader. Granted
we are all subject to a bad case of "foot in mouth", but
when it happens in the public forum, what comes out of you
mouth is what gets quoted and remembered. Senator Kerry has
done this before, several times.
There is a theory out there that says when you mean to
say one thing, and something else comes out, you
subconscious is providing the words for what you actually
think. Besides, as quoted before in his presidential bid, he
said that if we were to reduce the armed forces to an all
volunteer status, that the military would be filled with the
poor, the brown, and the black.
So just what do you mean Senator Kerry? And what do you
think about our men and women in uniform (which includes my
oldest son and daughter!)? As a former serviceman in the
Navy, I feel ashamed that you were a Naval officer.

So, los Presidentes Fox and Calderon are not happy that
President Bush signed the bill authorizing the border fence.
Why?
Senores Presidentes, why do people leave your country in
droves to get decent jobs, pay, and housing in our country?
Why can't they support themselves in your country? If the
economy was good enough for your own people, they wouldn't
have to be coming up here to make a "better living."
Improve you own economy. Put some money into the
infrastructure and improve roads (do I smell jobs here?),
utilities, sewers, and other amenities.
Improve the living conditions in your country so your
people won't have to come to our country to do better.
By the way. You can also throw all those corrupt law
officials and drug lords into prison, so they quit smuggling
and selling their crap to the people in our country.

There are currently two situations that are showing just
how incompetent and useless the UN is.
First of all, I think that the French did a great job at
helping us to negotiate the peace between Israel and
Hezbolah. However, at the get go they promised something
like 20.000 troops to help with the peace keeping forces.
Then it was 2.000, then it finally dropped to 200 Combat
Engineers. Then after a little bit of international outrage,
the French conceded to send 2000 troops.
Now, the UN can't get any of the member nations to
donate any troops to the effort. And when they finally do,
its after a lot of foot dragging and hemming and hawing.
Finally, Italy has stepped up and is sending troops.
The inspections of the nuclear facility in Iran is a
joke. Just like Sadam Hussein, the government in Iran is
denying access to UN inspectors, and locking the doors to
its facilities.
Is there any wonder why WMDs were not found in Iraq? Now
the UN is trying, in its superbly ineffective way, to get
Iraq to shut down its plutonium enrichment facilities.
Get
US out
of the
UN!

While were on the subject of armed incursion across
national borders, let's consider the current debate on
Immigration Reform.
It seems that everyone has forgotten the reports of
groups with HumVees and automatic weapons are crossing our
southern border, and "saving" drug smugglers from our Law
Enforcement personnel. The later, being outgunned, have no
choice but to back off. They have even been ordered to call
for back up, and not "go it alone" when chasing down drug
smugglers. Let me think - two Sheriff Deputies, with maybe
semi-auto AR-15s, at the best, against a squad of heavily
armed "Federalistas". What choice is there?
Let's not forget the other side of the coin when
considering what to do with our Southern Borders!
* * * * * * * * * *
*
To heck with Kofi Anan and the United Nations! Need we be
reminded that the United Nations is a
committee of political
appointees, who are accountable to no
one!
Let's review the events. An armed group leaves their own
country, and enters another country, without the knowledge
of the second country. They then kill two soldiers and
kidnap a third soldier. (I heard an interview on NPR that
had both Israeli and Palestinian participants, and the
Palestinian kept referring to the abduction as an "arrest."
How can that be? They crossed a border, under arms, and
killed citizens/soldiers of another country!)
A few days later, an armed group from a third country,
crosses their border with the second country, and kills
eight soldiers, and kidnaps two other soldiers.
As I have said before, if there is an armed incursion
across national borders, it is most often regarded as an act
of war! How dare the UN condemn the actions of Israel.
Maybe Israel is going overboard in their reactions, but as
the current administration has confirmed, Israel has every
right to defend herself.
Get
US out
of the
UN!

I think that a complete pullout from Iraq is a bad
idea.
The pundits are already complaining that Iraq is on the
brink of a civil war. If the United States and her allies
were to withdraw, say, within the next week, that would give
the green light to the terrorists, and utter chaos would
break out in the Middle East.
There would be no controlling influence, and the Arab
states would reduce themselves to the tribes, families, and
factions that they have always been (only now they'd all be
fighting for supreme leadership), and there would be no
peace in the Middle East.
On a similar note....Just because we finally got Al
Zarqawi, it doesn't mean that Al Qeda in Iraq is done-for. I
remember how people cheered when Yassir Arafat died. It
didn't mean squat. Hamas and Fatah are still terrorist
organization. Just because you kill one cockroach, doesn't
mean that your kitchen will be free of cockroaches (this is
in no way a racist slur - it applies to terrorists in
general). The death of Al Zarqawi means the same thing as
the death of Arafat. Nada.

Of course the Democrats are always whining about "those
corrupt" Republicans, but if they want to look at corruption
in Washington DC, they need look no further than in the
mirror. (Sen Harry Reid also has ties to Jack Abramhof, and
so do other Democrats.)
This week, Sen. Patrick Kennedy (RI) ran into a barricade
in Washington, and was reportedly acting intoxicated as he
got out of his car. There was no sobriety test, nor
investigation done. Does this sound all to familiar?
Patrick Kennedy is the son of the infamous Sen. Edward
"Ted" Kennedy.
Back in the '60s, there was a certain young Kennedy who
was out on a night of philandering, and somewhere along the
line, picked up a girl by the name of Mary Jo. During their
travels, this young Kennedy ran off of the road, and under a
bridge. The young girl was abandoned, and left for dead.
Mysteriously the investigation was dropped, and no charges
were filed. No sobriety tests were given. Now the young man
has spent several decades as the Senator from
Massachusetts.
At the time, everyone wondered who Papa Joe paid off to
let that investigation go dead real quick. This current
indiscretion may not be as major as Sen. Teddy's was, but
feels just a little too similar to be unsuspicious.

As long as we're talking about saving the costs of
running a government, due to the expenses incurred by
illegal immigrants, how about multi-lingual ballots?
During the 1970's, someone thought that it would be a
great idea to print ballots in Spanish. Then of course,
especially on the two coasts, governments of all sizes print
ballots in languages of the immigrants who happen to land on
their shores. Everything from Tugalug to Bosnian. It costs
the various governments money to hire translators, and
setting up the printing in however many languages are needed
for the elections.
This all goes back to the idea of assimilation. It used
to be the idea that immigrants to this nation would
assimilate themselves into our culture. California has been
a prime example of how English as a Second Language programs
have become a dismal failure. (There are people who have
lived in this country for 20 years, and still can't speak
and read English!)
Where I work there are several people of Mexican origin.
If they are legal or not, I don't know. I worked alongside
one lady for quite a long time. I happened to be nice enough
to try and speak my broken Spanish for her, and I got tied
to her throughout the training process. It was frustrating
for me, because I was just learning my job, and I was having
to try and translate the work process to her, and I just
didn't have the grasp of the language to get everything
across. She had been in this country for somewhere around 15
years. Why didn't she have a better grasp of the English
language? Her children attend local schools, and most likely
have a much better grasp of the English language than she
(or her husband) does.
Immigrants are not assimilating, and we are allowing it.
We pander to their "needs" in an effort to show "compassion"
and "caring". I really do care about these people. But they
are making no effort to become Americans.
If you or I were to move to another country we would be
expected to be able to read and write in French, Spanish,
Italian, or whatever language was correct for the country
that we moved to. They do not make any effort to print
ballots in English, or other outside languages. Nor do they
print public service signage in outside languages. So what
is different about moving here?
On top of that, I have been to several countries, thanks
to Uncle Sam's Canoe Club (US Navy), and I have never been
"offended" by that country's flag, or national church. So
why are we afraid to "offend" others by showing our pride in
our country by flying our own flag, or supporting our
military by wearing camouflage clothing?
The bottom line is that this is the United States, we are
proud of her, and if you want to live here, fine. Learn the
language, and become a part of our society.

Have you heard about the protests in the Southwest, and
California, this weekend? Phoenix, and Los Angeles are in an
uproar over the proposition in the House of Representatives
that would make it a Felony to hire illegal aliens.
National Public Radio, on All Things Considered, aired
the comment of a 15-year old girl, who has relatives living
somewhere who are illegal immigrants. She said that they
have a "right" to be here.
The last time that I checked what a "right" is, a right
is something that is given to the citizens of a particular
country, by the government of that country (read "law").
Illegal immigrants are not citizens of the country that they
are in, and therefore do not have any rights.
Furthermore, even though these immigrants may be hard
workers, and good members of their neighborhoods, they have
broken the law by coming into this country illegally. They
don't support the government, or emergency services by
paying taxes, and are therefore a drain on the Social
Security, Medicair/Medicaid, emergency services (hospital,
police and fire deprtments) and other social programs paid
for by you and me. Citizenship implies reciprocity.
* * * * * * * * * *
*
Why is it surprising that the people of Russia are slowly
losing the rights that they have so recently gained? Doesn't
anyone remember that President Vladimir Putin is a former
KGB man?
* * * * * * * * * *
*
I think that there are Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.
Why?
Twelve years of foot dragging by the previous Bush
administration, the do-nothing Clinton administration, and
the ineffective and incompetent United Nations and their
inspection teams.
Saddam Hussein kept putting the inspectors off, closing
doors, and stonewalling.
The WMDs are either in Syria, Iran, or in a section of
the Iraqi desert that the inspectors hadn't thought of yet.
If you think that I'm nuts, just remember what Hussein did
with his Air Force during the war. He parked all of his
planes in Iran until the shooting was over!
* * * * * * * * * *
*
Apparently, the nation's governors had a lot to tell
President Bush, at their meeting, recently. Especially about
how the flood of illegal immigrants is using up our precious
resources.
They are a drain on our emergency services, which are
paid for by tax dollars. They are also a drain on our social
services, which are definitely funded by tax dollars.
President Bush has declared war, whether we like it or
not. The first thing that you do in a war is shut down your
borders.
To add fuel to this flame, there are either paramilitary
groups, or Federalistas making incursions across our
borders, in order to "save" drug smugglers, and others
conducting illegal enterprises from our law enforcement
agencies. These groups are equipped with HumVees and
automatic weapons.
The last time that I checked up on international policy,
if members of one country had military units crossing
borders, whether war had been declared, or not, the border
incursions were considered an act of war.
President Vincente Fox is no friend of the United States,
no matter what he says.
* * * * * * * * * *
*
President Bush ought to probably put a halt to this sale
of the ports on the East Coast to a business company from
the United Arab Emirates.
They might be good friends and allies in our fight
against terrorism, and they let us have landing rights for
our airplanes, allow bases for our Air Force, and service
our Navy.
However, just like (our "good friends") the Saudis, they
allow terrorist money to be funneled through their banks and
businesses, and allow terrorists to travel through their
country. At least one of the 9/11 terrorists was from the
UAE.
This goes along with what you do when you declare a war.
When you declare war, you close the borders. The Mexican
border is still as open as a sieve, and we are now selling
port access to Middle Eastern companies/governments.

I'm not a big fan of the Bush administration, but I think
VP Cheney handled things right. It was even brought to my
attention that in Texas, anyone who is being investigated
for a shooting is not allowed to talk to anyone until the
investigation is done. So what's all this horse pucky about
a cover-up?

Gov. Schwarzeneger (I think that's how you spell it!)
made a good call this week. The only way to repay a life is
with a life.
So "Tookie" Williams did some good after he was sent to
San Quentin. He told kids to stay away from gangs, and
preached nonviolence. However, he went to his death
maintaining that he didn't kill those four people. That is
not repentance, or redemption.
To make up for something, you have to payback in kind. If
you steal a cow, you give back the cow, or another one. If
you steal $100, you give back $100. If you cause damage to
something, you repair the damage, or pay to have it
fixed.
The only way to make up for the taking of a life is by
giving up your own.

Apparently, the nomination of Judge John Roberts as Chief
Judge of the Supreme Court was good enough for most
Conservatives. However, there are a few more that think that
we need to keep a watchful eye on him. There is still enough
doubt about him to make some believe that he could be
another Judge Souter.
If Judge Alito is as Conservative and Constitutionalist
as Judge Scalia is, then that is a good thing. Again, there
seems to be some worry about him, as well, in certain
Conservative circles.

There should be a renewed cry to impeach the 9th Circuit
Court, in light of their recent decision about parents,
schools, and children. However, there seems to be an
amendment to some bill that will split the 9th Circuit. I'm
not sure that that move is good enough. That Court seems to
need a whole new membership, and splitting the Court doesn't
seem to be a drastic enough move. After all, the 9th Circuit
has had a high percentage of it's decisions reversed at the
Supreme Court.

"Free speech means hearing things you like and
agree with, and it means allowing others to speak whose
views you do not like or agree with. This -- listening to
the other person with respect and forbearance, and with an
acceptance of human diversity -- is the price we pay for
living in a great democracy. And it is a really low price
for such a great thing. We all know this, at least in the
abstract. Why are so many forgetting it in the
particular?"

"Why, pray
tell, are liberals who want everyone to be liberal
considered moral and moderate, but Christians who want
everyone to be Christian considered 'zealots' and
'bigots'?"
-- Dennis
Prager
